The Alters: Guide content

The first chapter of the guide focuses on the basics, as well as explaining the most important mechanics and assumptions of the gameplay. We have focused primarily on tips and tricks, thanks to which you will avoid the most common mistakes and learn useful tricks. In separate sections of the chapter, we discussed topics such as difficulty level, recommended alters to unlock, preparing a daily plan, and the best research projects to develop.

Our interactive map, showing areas from all chapters, can help you in discovering the alien planet. There, you will find markers with descriptions and images. They can help you, among other things, in finding landmarks, deposits suitable for extraction or quest items.

The Alters: Tips and tricks

1. Manage the available time wisely. Focus on key tasks first and don't waste time on less important things. Also, do not ignore the fatigue of the main protagonist - rest in the evening.
2. Be sure that the important resources are extracted on an ongoing basis. Setting up Mining Outposts will make it easier for you to collect them. Materials are primarily needed for expanding the base and crafting various items.
3. Unlock the key alters as soon as possible. Unlocking Jan Scientist is very important - thanks to him, you will be able to conduct research.
4. Use the map of the nearest area. It can help you find undiscovered paths. On the map, you can also see the discovered deposits or erected buildings.
5. Fast travel is free. Its main advantage is that traveling between fast travel points does not cause time to . It is worth creating a network of connections and moving around the area more efficiently.
